SO WHEN I TURNED TO GO IN THE CAR COMING AT ME HIT THE BACK OF THE MERCEDES RIGHT BEHIND THE BACK WHEEL, HIT IT SO HARD THAT IT ACTUALLY DENTED THE OTHER FENDER ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CAR BECAUSE IT MOVED EVERYTHING OVER. IN MY OPINION, THE WOMAN STARTED.

UNDER TEXAS OCCUPATIONS CODE 2308.257, A BOOT OPERATOR MUST AFFIX A NOTICE THAT INCLUDES, QUOTE, A TELEPHONE NUMBER THAT'S ANSWERED 24 HOURS A DAY TO ENABLE THE OWNER OR OPERATOR OF A VEHICLE TO ARRANGE FOR REMOVAL OF THE BOOT, END QUOTE. AND ENABLE MEANS HERE THAT THE NUMBER MUST ACTUALLY FUNCTION AS A PATHWAY TO HAVE THE BOOT REMOVED.

THEN, WHEN THE PERSON CALLED BEDFORD PD FOR HELP, THE OFFICER HE SPOKE TO FUNDAMENTALLY MISUNDERSTOOD THE LAW AND SAID THEY COULDN'T ASSIST BECAUSE IT WAS PRIVATE PROPERTY AND A CIVIL MATTER.
THIS TURNS THE STATUTE INTO A DEAD LETTER. THIS BUSINESS MODEL, WHERE ONE ENTITY BOOTS YOUR CAR AND CONTROLS THE ONLY PRACTICAL WAY TO PAY LETS CAPITAL TOW PLACE MORE BOOTS WHILE KEEPING THEIR TOW TRUCK DRIVERS SCARCE, ALL THE WHILE PREYING ON PEOPLE'S IGNORANCE OF THE LAW.

I WAS ABLE TO GET IN TOUCH WITH SANTA´S TEXAS TEAM AND HOP ON BOARD SOME HELICOPTERS AND GO VISIT OUR ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS, WHICH IS A LONG STANDING TRADITION HERE IN THE COMMUNITY, WHERE SANTA GOES AND VISITS ALL OF THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS WITHIN THE DISTRICT.SO I WAS ABLE TO HOP ON BOARD WITH SANTA AND MRS. CLAUS AND DO THAT AND GREET THOSE STUDENTS I GOT IN TOUCH WITH.
AND JUST GLAD TO SEE THIS LONG STANDING TRADITION.
KEEP GOING. SO REPRESENTING THE CITY OF BEDFORD THERE.
I DID LEARN THAT BELL HELICOPTER, THEY HAD SOME FINANCIAL ISSUES RECENTLY, AND THIS PROGRAM ALMOST WAS ON THE CHOPPING BLOCK. SO WE NEED TO DO WHAT WE CAN TO KEEP THIS GOING BECAUSE IT IS EXTREMELY SPECIAL TO OUR KIDDOS AND TO THE COMMUNITY.
LAST YEAR, WHEN MY DAUGHTER WENT TO KINDERGARTEN, THERE WAS PARENTS WHO JUST MOVED TO THE AREA, AND THEY WERE PART OUT THERE. THEY SAW THE HELICOPTERS AND THEY LIKE, YOU KNOW, WE MOVED FROM PLANO, FRISCO. THEY DON'T HAVE STUFF LIKE THIS OVER THERE.
