FINDING THE CITY'S REASONABLE RATE CASE EXPENSES SHALL BE REIMBURSED BY THE COMPANY.
FINDING THAT THE MEETING AT WHICH THIS RESOLUTION IS PASSED IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, AS REQUIRED BY LAW, REQUIRING NOTICE OF THIS RESOLUTION TO THE COMPANY AND LEGAL COUNSEL.

CONSIDER RESOLUTION SUPPORTING EPIC REAL ESTATE PARTNERS LLC'S APPLICATION TO THE TEXAS COMMISSION ON ENVIRONMENTAL QUALITY FOR A MUNICIPAL SETTING DESIGNATION ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT 200, 300 AND 316 GRAPEVINE HIGHWAY, HURST, TEXAS.
ESSENTIALLY, THE MSD PROGRAM, AS IT'S CALLED FOR MUNICIPAL SETTING DISTRICT, ALLOWS THE TCEQ TO LIMIT GROUNDWATER CLEANUP REQUIREMENTS WHEN THE AFFECTED WATER IS NOT AND WILL NOT BE USED FOR DRINKING. HURST HAS ALREADY PROHIBITED THE USE OF GROUNDWATER AT THIS SITE.
BECAUSE BEDFORD OPERATES A WATER WELL WITHIN 5 MILES.
WE MUST STATE OUR SUPPORT OR OPPOSITION OF THIS REQUEST.
CITY STAFF DOES RECOMMEND SUPPORT OF THE RESOLUTION, AS A CONTAMINATION IS CONFINED TO SHALLOW GROUNDWATER AND IT IS SEPARATED BY A ROCK LAYER FROM BEDFORD MUCH DEEPER WELLS UP TO 1500 FEET LOCATED OVER A MILE AWAY.

SO THAT'S THE GOAL OF THIS AMENDMENT.
THAT'S BEFORE YOU TONIGHT. ESSENTIALLY WHAT THIS IS DOING THE INTERNATIONAL CODE COUNCIL PUTS OUT A A PROPERTY MAINTENANCE CODE THAT'S A FAIRLY LENGTHY AND VERY ROBUST ORDINANCE. WHAT WE DID, BECAUSE THAT ICC CODE, INTERNATIONAL CODE, COUNCIL CODE, TAKES IN CONSIDERATION BOTH RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL, AND WE'VE GOT A PRETTY GOOD RESIDENTIAL CODE ALREADY IN PLACE.
SO WE JUST FOCUSED ON COMMERCIAL NON RESIDENTIAL IN THIS IN THIS AMENDMENT.

INTERESTING STORY IN STONEGATE NORTH. MY SISTER IN LAW ALWAYS SAID SHE HAD FAMILY HERE.
WELL, IT TURNS OUT HER COUSIN LIVES RIGHT HERE IN BEDFORD. AND HUNTER KNOWS HIM.
ALSO, ON BEHALF OF THE MAYOR, I DID ATTEND THE GROUNDBREAKING FOR CARTER BLOODCARE, SO THEY ARE EXPANDING THEIR OPERATIONS SIGNIFICANTLY OVER THE NEXT 18 MONTHS. THEY HAVE A SISTER OR A SISTER SERVICE CTS THAT DOES A LOT OF BLOOD TESTING.
AND SO I WAS REALLY HONORED TO REPRESENT THE CITY WITH THEIR GROUNDBREAKING AND DOCTOR BRYANT AND WHO IS THE CEO AND JB SMITH, WHO'S THE CEO, GAVE ME A TOUR OF THEIR WHOLE OPERATION.
SO THEY TAKE CARE OF BLOOD DRIVES AND THOSE MOBILE UNITS THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF TEXAS, AS WELL AS DO BLOOD TESTING FOR THE HOSPITALS AND THINGS LIKE THAT. AND SO IT'S REALLY GREAT THAT WE HAVE THAT SERVICE BASE HERE IN BEDFORD.
AND WITH THEIR EXPANSION, IT WILL CREATE MORE JOBS AND MORE VITALITY FOR THE CITY.
SO IT'S A REALLY GREAT THING WITH OUR CARTER BLOOD CARE CENTER.
SO THEN WITH BEAUTIFICATION WHAT'S COMING UP NEXT SATURDAY IS PAPER SHRED DAY ON OCTOBER 18TH.
SO IS SHRED IN THE E-WASTE. AND THAT'S FROM 8 A.M.

FIRST, YOU CAN HAVE THINGS SHREDDED, AND THEN YOU CAN COME TO BEER AND BRATS FROM 3 TO 9 SATURDAY, THERE'S FREE ADMISSION, FREE PARKING. THERE WILL BE BANDS THAT START AT 3:30, 05:30 AND 7:30.
AND, AND WE TRY TO REFLECT THE SERVICES BASED ON THE SERVICE, THE SURVEY.

THANK YOU, MAYOR. I REALLY DON'T HAVE MUCH THIS EVENING JUST TO STATE FIRE STATION NUMBER 02, WHICH IS KIND OF OUR NEXT FIRE STATION EFFORTS ON REMODELING.BIDS HAVE CLOSED ON THAT, SO I HOPE TO BRING YOU A REQUEST FOR THAT CONTRACT.
NEXT MEETING ARE PROBABLY THE NEXT MEETING. AFTER THAT YOU'LL SEE SOME ACTIVITY OVER AT CENTRAL FIRE STATION RIGHT NOW IS WE'RE STILL PREPPING TO MOVE THOSE FIREFIGHTERS OUT OF STATION TWO INTO THE TRAILER, WHICH THEY ALL ARE ACTUALLY VERY HAPPY ABOUT.
I DON'T KNOW IF I'D SAY HAPPY, BUT THEY ARE THEY ARE AMENABLE TO THE TRAILER.
IT ACTUALLY IT'S QUITE EFFICIENT. IT WORKS WELL FOR THEM.
AND I KNOW THAT'S SOMETHING THAT WE'RE ALL KIND OF KEEPING AN EYE ON AS WE'RE LOOKING TO TAKE THAT OUT TO, TO BID EVENTUALLY AND, AND RENOVATE THAT BASED ON THE NEEDS AT THE TIME AND HOW THAT WILL TIE INTO THE DESIGN OF THE ULTIMATE RENOVATED FACILITY, WE'VE DECIDED TO GO AHEAD AND REPLACE THAT ROOF NOW.
AND WITH THE RENOVATION, THE EXPANSION, IT IS A SIMPLE ADD ON TO THAT ROOF AT THIS POINT.
SO WE'LL BE MOVING FORWARD WITH THAT IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
SO IF YOU SEE ACTIVITY OVER THERE, WE ARE NOT RENOVATING YET.
