THE ARTS DFW, A 501 3C THREE ORGANIZATION, IS PRODUCING THIS FESTIVAL AS THEIR YEARLY FUNDRAISER.
OUR PAST FUNDRAISERS HAVE BEEN THE DAY OF THE DEAD CELEBRATION, WHICH SEVERAL OF YOU HAVE BEEN TO.
ARTS DFW WAS FORMED SEVERAL YEARS AGO BY OUR CITY COUNCILWOMAN, AMY SABOL.
THE GOAL OF ARTS DFW IS TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE VISUAL AND PERFORMING ARTS IN OUR COMMUNITY.
LAST YEAR, WE GAVE AWAY $10,000 TO FIVE DIFFERENT PERFORMING ARTS ORGANIZATIONS.
AND SINCE OUR FOUNDING NEARLY SEVEN YEARS AGO, WE HAVE GIVEN AWAY OVER $40,000.
ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 24TH, THERE WILL BE THREE GROUPS PERFORMING FOR 30 MINUTES EACH.
WE WILL START WITH THE REGAL CHORALE, FOLLOWED BY THE UPRIGHT THEATER AND VOICES OF FORT WORTH.

THE OTHER THING I WANTED TO SAY I DID ATTEND THE SEPTEMBER 11TH MEMORIAL SERVICE THAT FOR OUR FIRE DEPARTMENT. AND I APPRECIATE THE HONOR GUARD FOR OUR POLICE AND FIRE THAT DID THAT.
SO THAT OPPORTUNITY IN NORTH RICHLAND HILLS TO ATTEND THE TOWN HALL TO HEAR FROM ADAM POWELL ABOUT THE THREATS THAT UNITED WAY [INAUDIBLE] TO HAVE, AS WELL AS PARTNERSHIPS WITH ELECTED OFFICIALS AND COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS.
AND SO I'VE SPOKEN TO OUR CITY MANAGER A COUPLE OF TIMES ABOUT IF THERE'S A NEED AND HOW WE CAN MAKE SURE THAT OUR CITIZENS KNOW THAT THE UNITED WAY, WHAT THEY PROVIDE, AS WELL AS CONNECTIONS TO OTHER NONPROFITS.
AND SO WITH BEAUTIFICATION SPECIFICALLY, I WANT TO THANK OUR OUTGOING MEMBER, ROB WESSON.
HE DECIDED NOT TO REAPPLY, AND SO HE DEFINITELY WAS VALUE ADDED FOR THE COMMISSION.
SO I WANT TO THANK HIM FOR HIS TIME. AND THEN I'M REALLY IMPRESSED WITH THE THE CURRENT MEMBERS.
SO THERE IS A LOT OF TREE OPPORTUNITIES ON THE MEDIANS OF HARWOOD ROAD AS WELL AS GENERATIONS PARK.
AND YOU KNOW HOW SENSITIVE OUR COMMUNITY IS ABOUT OUR TREE GROWTH.
AND THIS BOARD IS ALSO VERY PARTICULAR ABOUT THE TREES.
NO BRADFORD PEARS, THERE'S THEY WANTED TO HAVE A PLAN SPECIFICALLY ABOUT DIFFERENT TREES THAT ARE NOT BRADFORD PEARS, AND I THINK DON WAS KIND OF STEERING THEM. WE ARE UNLOADING PUMPKINS FROM TRUCKS. AND SO THIS ESPECIALLY ON THE 13TH, IF THERE ARE STUDENTS OUT OF SCHOOL WHO NEED SERVICE HOURS, WE CAN MAKE SURE THAT HAPPENS FOR THEM.
BUT WE NEED SOME MAN AND WOMAN POWER THAT DAY.
AND THEN THE LIBRARY WELL HERE'S THE BAD NEWS.
