CONSIDER APPROVAL OF ITEMS BY CONSENT
7. Consider approval of a resolution authorizing the City Manager to negotiate and execute a six month extension of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Midway Development Group, LLC, for the Bedford Commons Mixed-Use Project (generally located between Bedford Road, L. Don Dodson Drive, E M Bilger Boulevard, and Parkwood Drive); outlining parameters under which Midway and the City of Bedford will proceed with development of the project; and providing an effective date.
6. Consider an ordinance amending Article X, “Minimum Housing Code,” of Chapter 22, “Buildings and Building Regulations,” of the Code of Ordinances, to reorganize the article, set a deadline for annual registration renewal applications, establish provisions to protect tenants’ rights, and adding regulations to help prevent crime in multi-family properties.
8. Consider approval of a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the City of Bedford and Texas Health Methodist Hospital Hurst-Euless-Bedford (HEB), for the purpose of the Hospital participating in the “340B Program” of the Public Health Services Act, which allows the hospital to purchase prescription drugs at reduced prices, resulting in expanded access and improved care for underserved populations.
9. Discussion and action regarding the appointment of the Mayor Pro Tem, Board and Commission Liaisons, and Members of Committees, Foundations, and Corporations.
