TO THE SOUTH IS A RESALE SHOP OR A PAWN SHOP.

ACROSS THE STREET TO THE EAST IS A DOG KENNEL THAT SUP WAS APPROVED BACK IN 2021, AND THEN A COMMERCIAL PARKING LOT TO THE WEST OF THE SITE.

WE NOTIFIED 12 ADJACENT PROPERTY OWNERS.

AT THIS TIME, STAFFS RECEIVED NO RESPONSE IN FAVOR OR AGAINST THE REQUEST.

STAFF JUST FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATION SITE IS DEVELOPED AND NO EXTERIOR CHANGES ARE BEING PROPOSED.

THE COMMERCIAL USE IS IN COMPLIANCE WITH THE ADOPTED COMPREHENSIVE PLAN.

THE SITE IS NOT ADJACENT TO ANY RESIDENTIAL SINGLE FAMILY LAND USE, AND THIS IS ONE WHERE SUP'S YOU CAN PLACE CONDITIONS ON AND STAFF IS RECOMMENDING A CONDITION ON THIS ONE BECAUSE THE SIZE OF THE SUITE AREA, WE THINK THIS USE OUGHT TO BE LIMITED TO CAT ONLY.

YOU START ALLOWING OTHER DOMESTIC ANIMALS THAT ARE A LITTLE BIT LARGER, THAT COULD BE A LITTLE BIT PROBLEM.

SO STAFF IS RECOMMENDING THAT, CATS THAT THIS BOARDING FACILITY ONLY BE LIMITED TO CATS AND NO OTHER ANIMALS.

THE APPLICANT ATTENDED COUNCIL THAT WAS PRESENTED TO COUNCIL FOR THEIR FINAL SAY ON TUESDAY NIGHT, AND THE APPLICANT PROVIDED A VERY A MUCH MORE DETAILED PRESENTATION TO CITY COUNCIL THAN WHAT THEY PROVIDED TO PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION.

AND CITY COUNCIL HAS ASKED STAFF AT THAT MEETING TO WORK WITH THE APPLICANT TO COME UP WITH SOME WITH A LAND USE AND TO AMEND BEDFORD COMMONS.

THAT WOULD ACCOMPLISH EVERYBODY'S GOAL, BOTH BEDFORD COMMONS AND THE APPLICANT'S GOALS.

SO WE ARE GOING TO START THAT PROCESS OF OPENING UP BEDFORD COMMONS.
