Consider Approval of Items by Consent
(Consent items are deemed to need little Council deliberation and will be acted upon as on business item. Any member of the City Council may request that an item be withdrawn from the Consent Agenda and placed before the City Council for full discussion. Approval of the Consent Agenda authorizes the City Manager, or a designee, to implement each item in accordance with staff recommendation.) 1. Consider approval of the following City Council minutes: a) February 13, 2018 regular meeting 2. Consider an ordinance amending Chapter 2. “Administration,” Article IV. “Boards, Commissions, and Committees,” Division 4. “Cultural Commission” of the City of Bedford Code of Ordinances; repealing all ordinances in conflict herewith; containing a savings clause; and declaring an effective date. 3. Consider a resolution of the City Council of Bedford, Texas authorizing the submission of the grant application for new thermal imaging cameras for the Police Department to the Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division.
Employee Service Recognition
Consider an ordinance approving a tariff authorizing an annual rate review mechanism (“RRM”) as a substitution for the annual interim rate adjustment process defined by Section 104.301 of the Texas Utilities Code, and as negotiated between Atmos Energy Corp., Mid-Tex Division (“Atmos Mid-tex” or “Company”) and the Steering Committee of Cities Served by Atmos; requiring the Company to reimburse cities’ reasonable ratemaking expenses; adopting a savings clause; determining that this ordinance was passed in accordance with the requirements of the open meetings act; declaring an effective date; and requiring delivery of this ordinance to the company and legal counsel for the steering committee.
Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with Strategic Government Resources securing the services of an Interim Capital Projects Manager for the Phase Next Improvements, and other capital project needs at a rate of $145 per hour.
Consider a resolution accepting the report from the independent auditor and the audited financial statements for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2017 and providing an effective date.
Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with Public Sector Personnel Consultants to conduct a job classification and compensation study in the amount not to exceed $50,000.
