Consider Approval of Items by Consent
CONSIDER APPROVAL OF ITEMS BY CONSENT (Consent items are deemed to need little Council deliberation and will be acted upon as on business item. Any member of the City Council may request that an item be withdrawn from the Consent Agenda and placed before the City Council for full discussion. Approval of the Consent Agenda authorizes the City Manager, or a designee, to implement each item in accordance with staff recommendation.) 3. Consider approval of the following City Council minutes: a) October 6, 2020 work session b) October 13, 2020 regular session 4. Consider a resolution appointing a member to Bedford’s Citizen Boards and Commissions.
PERSONS TO BE HEARD The following individual has requested to speak to the Council tonight under Persons to be Heard: a) Velinda Rubio, 3917 Pebblebrook Lane, Bedford, Texas 76021 – Requested to speak to Council regarding the details as to when the tennis courts and other outdoor activities were removed from the Generations Park plan.
NEW BUSINESS Public hearing and consider an ordinance to rezone the remainder of Tract A-R, Plaza Center Addition, a portion of Lot 4, Block A, Plaza Addition, a portion of Plaza Parkway right-of-way, and a portion of Bay Street right-of-way, located at 1850 Central Drive, Bedford, Texas from Heavy Commercial (H)/MHC Overlay District to Planned Unit Development (PUD)/MHC Overlay District; and approval of a site plan allowing Chick-Fil-A to build a fast-food restaurant with a drive-thru facility and outdoor dining patio; providing for the amendment of the official Zoning Map to reflect such changes; providing that this ordinance shall be cumulative of all ordinances; providing for a penalty for violations hereof; providing for a savings clause; providing a severability clause; and providing and effective date.
Public hearing and consider an ordinance of the City Council of the City of Bedford, Texas, designating a noncontiguous geographic area within the City as a reinvestment zone pursuant to Chapter 311 of the Texas Tax Code, to be known as Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone Number One, City of Bedford, Texas; describing the boundaries of the zone; creating a board of directors for the zone; establishing a tax increment fund for the zone; containing findings related to the creation of the zone; providing a date for the termination of the zone; providing that the zone take effect immediately upon passage of the ordinance; providing a severability clause; and providing an effective date.
Consider an ordinance authorizing the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Allied Waste Services of Fort Worth LLC dba Republic Services for Citywide Solid Waste Collection and Recycling Services.
